Hegins Township is located in western Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, Unites States. It was incorporated in 1854. The township has a total area of 32.0 square miles, mainly agricultural and small communities such as Hegins, Valley View, and Fountain, nestled into the base of the mountains less than 20 miles from the county seat of Pottsville. The local school district is called Tri-Valley. Population as of the 2020 census was 3,337. The area is conveniently located off Interstate 81, Exit 112 (PA Rt. 25).

Hegins Township recreation includes Camp-A-While Campgrounds and RV Park, Tri-Valley Community Pool, Rausch Creek Trailriders, Hegins Park, and Valley View Park. In addition, there are many local clubs and charitable civic organizations.
